Designing Better Applications, Website and Intranets
Tuesday, October 25, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
10640 – 100 Avenue
“Math is easy; design is hard.” — Jeffrey Veen
Creating great websites and applications is hard work. There are so many aspects to juggle; so much complexity to control. You have to understand the needs of your users, get buy-in from stakeholders, organize lots of content and create an intuitive interface. This is no small order, but it’s the kind of problem we at nForm like to solve.
However, we realize that we can’t be in the trenches with you every day. So we’ve created a simple resource to pass on a little of what we’ve learned about planning for great design. Our User Experience Cards feature tried-and-true methods for designing better interactive products of all kinds–from online stores to corporate intranets to mobile apps. Come to our free one-hour session, and we’ll walk you through how we plan design projects, and how you can use these cards for your own planning. And we’ll give you a free set of User Experience Cards to take with you.
Session Leader: Dennis Breen
Dennis began designing interfaces in 1998, back when Google was just a couple of guys working in a garage. Since then he’s been working with clients like BMO Financial Group, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, the Alberta Government, Move.com and others to create engaging and intuitive websites and applications.
