Yvonne has 11 years of experience in web usability, information architecture, user research, and user experience consulting. She has developed interactive media solutions for Fortune 500 companies in Canada and the U.S. Some of her clients include: Bell Canada, Rogers Communications, Hydro One, General Motors (Canada, U.S., and worldwide), General Mills, Astra-Zeneca, GlaxoSmithKline, RBC, BMO Nesbitt Burns, McMaster University, Purolator, Compassion Canada, and others.
She has given talks on user experience since 1997, including Humber School of Media Studies, University of Toronto, Centennial College, and George Brown College. Yvonne also conducts workshops on user experience and business innovation for her clients.
Prior to working in the public sector, Yvonne was a human factors research scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada in Toronto. Yvonne earned her undergraduate degree in cognitive psychology at the University of Toronto (with a minor in anthropology and industrial engineering), and her Masters in Ergonomics from University College London in the U.K.
